EXPERIENCED CRIMINAL DEFENSE TRIAL ATTORNEY

A Little Bit About Your Lawyer
My name is Marianne Gilbert and I am a Criminal Defense Attorney. I have two doctorates. I received my Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law in 1988 and I passed the California State Bar that same year on my first attempt. Since then, I have remained an attorney with good standing with the California State Bar and I have been practicing law for 28 years, primarily in Kings County, but handle criminal cases throughout the state of California.

In 2013, I received my second doctorate in Education, with an emphasis in Administration and Leadership, after presenting my dissertation on "An Analysis of Spiritual Factors on Academic Achievement in Seventh-day Adventist Schools." I am also a parliamentarian for the Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

As well as my private practice, I am also the contract administrator for the Defense of the Accused contracts in Kings County. Currently I administrate 22 lawyers' contracts and their assignments for the County of Kings. Not only am I Death Penalty qualified, I defend individuals who are accused of either felony and misdemeanor crimes, and also represent Juvenile defendants and parents accused of neglect.
